Nexium 40mg Tablet contains Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production. This medication effectively treats gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcers, and other acid-related conditions of the digestive system. Uses Nexium 40mg treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It’s used for healing and preventing stomach ulcers caused by NSAIDs or H. pylori bacteria. Nexium also treats heartburn and acid-related damage to the esophagus.
